population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 14,196 households out of which 34.9% have children under the age of
18 living with them, 56.5% are married couples living together, 10.4% have a
female householder with no husband present, and 29.6% are non-families. 25.1%
of all households are made up of individuals and 7.7% have someone living
alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.48 and
the average family size is 2.96.
In the city the population is spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 13.0% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who are 65
years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.7 males.

The city is adjacent to the Fort Huachuca Army Base, an active and historical
military base and a communications and information technology hub.
